If your temporary employment agency is a member of the ABU, as a temporary employee you are under the ABU phase system. The ABU phase system defines your rights and obligations. The ABU has three phases: phases A, B and C. The phase you are in determines your legal status. The longer you work for a temporary employment agency, the more rights you have. This includes, for example, the number of agency contracts you can enter into, protection against dismissal and the right to continuity of pay during illness.
The ABU phasing system is divided into three phases. The length of the phase varies. The phase you are in depends on the number of weeks you have worked for the temporary employment agency. The number of hours worked is not the determining factor. (For example: You worked one hour in the third week, this week also counts towards the weekly count).
